After a successful first year, we'll be continuing with the second year of our student travel grant pilot project. The student travel grant is designed to ease the cost of travel for students and make it more likely that they can attend CSRF.
This year, four (4) student travel grants of $250 each will be available, one each for up to four students.
To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
i) Qualify as a student member as per CSRF by-laws (details here, page 6; post-doctoral fellows do not qualify),
ii) Be registered to attend the conference prior to the early bird deadline,
iii) Have not previously received a student travel grant.
There is no additional application process. All eligible students who are registered to attend the conference prior to the early bird deadline will be eligible for the award. Award winners will be drawn at random from the pool of eligible students. The purpose of the student travel grant is to ease the financial hardship of conference travel for students. Although financial need is not taken into consideration in terms of awarding this grant, we kindly suggest that students who already have adequate funding from other sources consider withdrawing their names from consideration so that those without adequate funding may benefit. Choosing to withdraw or not withdraw from consideration will in no way affect your abstract submission.
