Student travel grant

After a successful first year, we'll be continuing with the second year of our student travel grant pilot project. The student travel grant is designed to ease the cost of travel for students and make it more likely that they can attend CSRF.

This year, four (4) student travel grants of $250 each will be available, one each for up to four students.

To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

i) Qualify as a student member as per CSRF by-laws (details here, page 6; post-doctoral fellows do not qualify),

ii) Be registered to attend the conference prior to the early bird deadline,

iii) Have not previously received a student travel grant.

There is no additional application process. All eligible students who are registered to attend the conference prior to the early bird deadline will be eligible for the award. Award winners will be drawn at random from the pool of eligible students. The purpose of the student travel grant is to ease the financial hardship of conference travel for students. Although financial need is not taken into consideration in terms of awarding this grant, we kindly suggest that students who already have adequate funding from other sources consider withdrawing their names from consideration so that those without adequate funding may benefit. Choosing to withdraw or not withdraw from consideration will in no way affect your abstract submission. To withdraw from consideration, contact me directly at the time of your conference registration.

Registration details will be posted in the coming weeks.

Call for Papers - Abstract Submission for CSRF 2017 is LIVE!

I hope the first day of spring is treating all of you well. To celebrate, I'd like to officially announce that the call for papers for CSRF Fredericton 2017 is open!

For information about this year's conference, please go to http://www.canadiansexresearchforum.com/2017. There you will find information about the call for papers and the abstract submission process. More information regarding accommodations, events, registration, and much, much more will be posted soon.

CSRF Fredericton 2017 will once again feature oral, data blitz, and poster presentations. Due to space limitations, we may be in a position to have to limit presenters to one presentation each, depending on the number of abstracts received. In the event that happens, abstracts that we are unable to accommodate will be returned without prejudice and be eligible for submission at a future CSRF meeting.

This year, we're launching an even better abstract submission website! Our new website will include some self-serve administration functions, such as allowing you to modify your submission an unlimited number of times up until the submission deadline.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS MAY 12, 2017.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in Fredericton!
